The BVW-75P is the last generation edit recorder for the Betacam SP format. Notably, it will play/record all Beta SP audio channels (linear and AFM) (including channels 3 and 4) unlike the PVW series that can only access channels 1 and 2. As a true component recorder, the Betacam format could easily outperform the previous generation 'colour-under' recorders such as U-Matic for colour detail.
